Self Portrait by Jared Mileto

For this self Portrait I used the link that was provided in our instructions.  Picassohead creator allows you drag and drop different pieces of art on to a canvas type box.  Once on that canvas you can rotate, zoom in or out, change color or delete if need be.  I found this very easy to use and actually played around with it and deleted a couple before I liked the one I made.  Below you will find a link that will take you to my self Portrait or you can view the image below it.  This process was rather simple to complete.  My biggest issues came when I tried to embed the image into my blog.  I did not read far enough ahead in the instructions to see that I was reminded to use the Snipe tool but then as I was sitting looking at the options on the screen it struck me to use it.

Self Portrait by Jared Mileto: Picassohead

This assignment wanted us to be creative and allowed a way to use digital tools to do it.  I feel that for the ISTE NET standards that we utilized standard 1A and 2A.  Both these standards can be found here ISTE standards for Teachers

With this activity we promoted inventiveness and adapted a relevant learning experience.  Students would be showing us how they creatively view themselves.
